1. No accounts, no personal data

Vishuddha does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to read comics. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifying information.

2. What we collect automatically

When you read a comic, we record anonymous reading analytics to understand how content is being used. Specifically:

• Visitor ID— a randomly generated anonymous identifier stored in your browser's local storage. It has no connection to your identity. It allows us to distinguish returning visitors from new ones without tracking who you are.
• Session ID — a randomly generated identifier for each chapter reading session, stored in session storage and discarded when you close the tab.
• Pages read — which pages of a chapter you viewed, used to understand reader engagement and drop-off points.
• Referrer and traffic source — the URL of the page that linked you here (e.g., a Google search, a social media post), used to understand how readers find us.
• IP address — your IP address is processed by our server and hosting infrastructure on every request. We do not store or log IP addresses ourselves.

None of this data identifies you personally. It is used solely to improve the platform and provide creators with basic readership analytics.

3. Cookies

Vishuddha does not set tracking cookies itself. However, we display advertisements through Google AdSense (see section 4), which uses cookies to serve ads. These are third-party cookies set by Google, not by us.

Your browser's local storage is used to store your anonymous visitor ID and your preferred reading zoom level. These are not cookies and are stored only on your device.

4. Advertising — Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the site. This is how the platform stays free. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

5. Third-party services we use

• Vercel — our hosting provider. Processes every request to the site.
• Neon — our database provider. Stores anonymous reading analytics and comic metadata.
• Cloudinary — stores and serves comic images.
• Google AdSense — serves advertisements. May set cookies and collect browsing data for ad personalisation.

We do not sell any data to third parties.

6. Data retention

Anonymous reading analytics are stored indefinitely for long-term readership reporting. Since this data is not linked to any personal identity, we cannot identify which records belong to you and cannot action deletion requests against it.

Your visitor ID is stored in your browser's local storage. You can delete it at any time by clearing local storage for vishuddhacomics.in in your browser settings.

7. Children

Vishuddha Comics is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
